Our first workshop on the therapeutic applications of EVs has been a great success!
This workshop was organized by the best ladies team: Marta Monguiรณ-Tortajada, Pilar Martรญn-Duque and Marcel.la Franquesa. We had both presential at IGTP and online attendees in a first theoretical session in which we learned about GMP facilities, regulatory issues that apply to EVs as therapeutics and heard about some already successfull approaches.
We had also nice presentations from our sponsors: Aplitech Biolab, FiberCell Systems for bioreactor solutions and Miltenyi Biotec, Izasa scientific showing their characterization approaches.
Thanks to all speakers and attendees for very lively discussions.
The second day, a smaller group had the chance to visit the GMP facilities at BST and to work on a TPP for an EV product. A lot of brain storming that made all of us probably smarter and surely more aware of the difficulties and requisites of translating our research to the clinic. Thanks to Luciano, Joaquim and Cristina for being the best hosts.
